Experience

I have taught classes for all levels of undergraduates, in addition to paleobiology- and evolutionary biology-focused courses for middle and high school students. Notably, I have been integral in developing and leading the two week long Kansas Field Herpetology course at the University of Kansas (KU). This course takes up to fifteen undergraduate students throughout the state where they learn to identify, collect, and preserve reptiles and amphibians for scientific study (more about the course here). I have also been instrumental in developing the interactive lab component of the KU Mammalian Paleontology and Primate Evolution courses and served for six years as the supervisor of the Peer-Led Undergraduate Supplements program, a group of upperclass undergraduates who lead structured supplemental discussion sections for introductory biology and chemistry courses (PLUS KU).
